MileGuard uses Smartcar, a trusted third-party API, to connect directly to your vehicle's built-in telematics. You authorize the connection through your car manufacturer's account — no OBD dongles, Bluetooth devices, or hardware needed. The entire setup takes under 30 seconds.
Absolutely. We only read your odometer data — nothing else. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your personal information to third parties. You can revoke vehicle access at any time from the app or your car manufacturer's portal.
MileGuard supports 40+ brands through Smartcar, including Tesla, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Toyota, Honda, Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, and many more. Most vehicles from 2015 and later with connected services are compatible.
MileGuard offers a free tier with basic mileage tracking. Premium unlocks advanced forecasting, unlimited vehicles, detailed analytics, and priority support. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Prices may vary by region.
